What is our IGNITE! Crowdfunding Campaign?
With IGNITE! and ANCA, we are asking for the community’s help to offer financial assistance to youth, women and other vulnerable groups.
We established our Youth Boxing Program to help youth in our area learn a sport that requires dedication, discipline and hard work. Boxing is not about violence. It is learning how and why the body moves like it does, it is strength and conditioning, it is learning critical thinking, it is a positive mental health experience, and it is about building self-confidence.
Self-Defense is something that everyone should know, especially women and other groups who are more likely to experience assault and sexual violence. Our self-defense program is a practical and realistic system that shows how to not become a victim and is based on empowerment and self-confidence, and using the simplest and most effective ways to defend oneself.
We are not a non-profit which means we are ineligible for most financial assistance grant programs. So we are asking for the community’s help to establish a growth fund that will allow us to offer scholarships to deserving youth in the area who want to participate.
